Workshop “Mythology and Art” – Icarus

The workshop “Mythology and Art” approaches mythology via many different aspects of art, like for example painting, sculpturing, theatre, music, and cinema. Ancient Greek mythology has overcome every local and time boarder and has become a spiritual virtue for all humans.

Arts coming from ceramic, sculpture, murals, paintings, theatre, choreographies and movies, prove the diachronic presence of myths.  It is a source of inspiration for every form of art in the history of global culture.

The workshop refers to adults.

The participants will learn about the history and myth of Icarus, through arts like painting, moving images, music. The projection will focus at the interpretation, the symbolic content and the extensions of the myth. Open conversation will follow right after.
