The crane for large load

It was used for the lifting of heavy loads and its “mast” consisted of two giant pieces of wood in the form of Λ. Its articulation was ensured by two dents in the ground. Its stabilisation in various inclinations was achieved by two balancing ropes that were tautened by block and tackles and winches.

The load was lifted with the help of the “trispaston” pulley with double “pulley-wheels” in each little axle. Instead of the reel, it had an axle at both sides where the lifting ropes of the load were wrapped and in the middle was a large wheel which was turned with the help of a large manually – operated winch.
